It is the new tailgate hot spot of central.
Why do residents enjoy the location of Southpoint apartments? It's not because it is in walking distance of campus and the SAC, but the local bar and hot spot the Wayside. The apartments are nestled behind the $3.99 car wash on Broomfield Rd, just past the four corners. The complex is full of party people and became a party hot spot this past football season when the tailgate rules went into effect. Beer pong tables at every door front, and students had a great time because cops and security are usually never present.
The complex offers a variety of apartment sizes ranging from two bedroom to five bedroom apartments with nice layouts. The residents enjoy free internet, cable and water. The shuttle is not necessary because students are fairly close to campus. The rent and bills are very affordable for students. For 5 person apartment, rent and bills included each month is around $300 a person. Although, with an affordable rent students do not have the luxuries of a dishwasher, in home washer/dryer, pool, workout facility or rec room. The management for the most part help is helpful, but do not pay bills late because you will be charged. Overall Southpoint received 8 out of 10 star rating.
